Donation FAQ

ReStore gladly accepts your donations and is grateful for your support. The following are our more commonly asked questions. If you have a question that is not listed here, please contact us for assistance.

Where are you located?
We have stores in both Alexandria and Chantilly. For more information, see the Directions page.

Will I receive a tax deduction when I make a donation?
Yes, all donations are tax deductible and you will receive a donation receipt to use for tax purposes.

Who determines the value of the items that I donate?
It is the donor’s responsibility to submit the value of the donation provided to ReStore

Does ReStore pick up donations?
Yes, ReStore can pick up your donation. All materials must be outside on the curb prior to pick up. For more information, see the Scheduling a Pickup page.

During what hours do you pick up donations?
Donations are picked up between the hours of 9 am – 4 pm. For more information, see the Scheduling a Pickup page.

What happens if there is bad weather on the day my materials are scheduled for pickup?
Our staff will contact you to reschedule your pickup.

What kind of condition do my materials have to be in to make a donation?
All materials must be in good, working condition. For more information, see the Acceptable Donations page.

Do you accept new donations?
