This is Tom Polman. I am the new Dispatch Supervisor, and I am truly excited to be working for this fine organization and cause.

I started on Aug 18th and my goal is to organize the scheduling and tracking of donation pick-ups, and help make this process run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. To that end, I've created an Access database system, SQUARE ROUTE, which enables me to store information about the donor and their respective donations electronically. This, in turn, allows me to run queries and create reports, providing our store manager and regional manager the necessary information to make quick and effective decisions.

I am continually amazed at all the wonderful donations which come into this facility on a daily basis: beautiful kitchen cabinets; luxurious sofas and other living room furniture; hardwood flooring; palets of brand new brick and other masonry items. The spirit of giving is alive and well in Northern Virginia. This is truly Americans helping Americans.
